bench grinder wheel dresser

whats the best type of dresser for truing your bench grinding wheels with

from what i can see there is 3 main types

a single pointed shaft type

a handle type with a wheel

and 1 that looks like a hammer

sorry i do not know the names of them

just like to know wich would be best as i only want to buy the 1

Just bought one of those that Bogs recommends. It is excellent, far better than my old rotating prong thingy. That has gone into the 'recycle bin'.

BTW, the making of your own handle was suggested by John Stevenson.

If I had thought of that, I would have bought just the head.

But as stated by Andy, they work very well indeed.
