Bogs on his way back
« on: September 16, 2009, 05:48:47 PM »
A few on the site know what has been happening at home, and the reason for me not posting as much as I used to do.

I would like to publicly thank all the private well wishes we have had over the last few months, and it goes to show, you can have real friends, even though you have never met them.

Things are still not right at home, but now I have a few more home assistants, my broken down carcase isn't needed to help much any more, so it will allow me to spend a little more time in one of the loves of my life, and the source of my relaxation and stress removal, the workshop.

So soon I hope to be picking up all those projects I have had in limbo, and to meeting all the new members that have joined since I have had to take it slow.

Unfortunately, my long time trusted sidekick Bandit has taken over guarding another person in the household, and won't leave my wife's side for more than a few minutes at a time. So It looks like Bernd's suggestion of a new avatar is on the cards.
Suggestions most welcome.

I've got a cat, but it runs when it sees my boots.

I think it has got a problem from when I taught it how to do somersaults down the yard.

Exactly what I meant John,  strange how the best little dogs just know exactly what they should do.
Best wishes to all.

"Bandit has found someone who needs a little more lovin' at this time than me." But if the time ever comes that it is the other way around he will be there for you John. When I see your avatar it always reminds me of both you and Bandit. I don't think that it needs changing. I pray that your situation will continue to resolve itself in the best possible way. Stay well ALL.

Cheers

John,

John (dsquire) is right. I think you should keep the old avatar. It just won't be right to take him out of the picture now. It'll remind us to keep sending you well wishes in private every now and then. It also helps to keep reminding us to ask how your doing.

Knowing how private you are in matters such as this I didn't ask any questions, although I wondered what had happened since I wasn't seeing to many postings from you. So I wish all family well and hope it will resolve itself soon. I think the saying goes "Keep a stiff upper lip".

I too think that you should keep the same avatar, it's just you.

All the best with all that you are having to cope with

Many thanks for the wellwishes gents, they are appreciated and heartfelt.

Unfortunately the problem won't go away or get better, it is just that I have assistance with it now, rather than trying to cope with just the grandson and myself.

I tried to get into the shop today, but my heart just wasn't in it. I suppose it will take a while to put worrying things to the back of my mind.

The general concensus seems to be to let Bandit stay, so for the time being, he gets a reprieve.

John,

Anyone who has met Bandit and myself will verify that it is a good likeness, but I have put on a little weight since the image was captured.

It is of course a self portrait, carefully manipulated to make us both look a little younger.
