small beam engine by bill huxhold
« on: September 15, 2009, 09:12:33 PM »
i had the pleasure of seeing the latest work of mr bill huxhold.
the engine is about 8 to 9 inches in length (forgot to put something beside it for scale)

i think bill has been working on this for about 2 or 3 months. everything is fabricated from brass, steel or stainless steel.

for those who don't know bill check out this website http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/Huxhold.htm

and now the pictures:

i took more pictures but my flash didn't work so they were kinda dark  :(

i hope you enjoy looking at these pictures.

Very nice, it looks like it's Lady Stephanie. Castings and drawings available from Reeves here: https://vault1.secured-url.com/reeves2000/images/model/lady_steph.jpg

Isn't this it, or is that example a scaled down version? https://vault1.secured-url.com/reeves2000/shop_item.asp?sub_cat_id=173

Chuck,

Had the pleasure of meeting Bill also. He was at one of the steam shows here in New York. He had his little lathe with him that he had built and was making mini-brass goblets.

Also had a few engines if I remember right. He sure is a master craftsmamn.
