Naggin' Wives....
« on: September 04, 2009, 06:10:00 AM »
From another forum

"Get the shaper. When you bring it home, you know what she will complain about.
If you do not bring it home, she may complain about anything.
Bring the shaper home; control the situation."
You will find it a distinct help… if you know and look as if you know what you are doing. (IRS training manual)

In reality, I actually brought a shaper home, I got "What the hell is that junk sat in the garden - get it out of here it looks a mess!"

It is right - I could have got nagged about anything when I got home, at least I knew it was going to be about the shaper.

Wait for a pause in the nagging and quite innocently say

" So I suppose a jump / shag / leg over is out the question ? "

Then duck......................

Usually her olds get in her ear about it.  If it aint house and garden (flashy aussie home magazine) then it dont belong there apparently.

Failing them showing up at home; recon I could park a truck out there and it would take a month for the missus to notice.  If its not in the house or in the way of her car then it doesnt seem to get noticed for a while.  Comes in handy sometimes.

What I havnt told her is the cover I have made for her BBQ was only so I could get rid of it from the garage.  Need the space for my soon to be purchased (hopefully) lathe.  Now what else can I shift out of here. Lets try her car.... would have to grow eyes in the back of my head.
From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".
