Never thought of it as a 1/4 scale motor. Thanks Roger.

Definitely not a Quadra http://quadraengines.com/Engines.pdf

Also not a Zenoah.  Could be a Sachs?

Can't help on the ident, I'm a 2 stroke weed wacker engine kind of guy. I have a 1/6 scale off road buggy with a 25cc wacker type engine in it. They call the buggies ankle breakers, at 30 pounds and doing 40 miles an hour. It can do some damage, if it hits you. I have been thinking of doing an air boat for another wacker engine I have laying around.

Looks like you are going to have a couple of great boats.

PT,

I've got a couple of wacker engines laying around too. I'd like to build a bigger air boat. When I saw the above big engine my dad had, I thought, Ah ha, got a big engine to build one.  :ddb:  :ddb:

Crikey!!!

That does dwarf the 10cc engine a bit :bugeye:

I have some aeroplanes in the loft (and i think a couple of boats too) but i think 10cc is the largest engine, though there's one up there that someone designed and built themselves, that has a large engine in it, i think from memory it has around a 72" wingspan...

I hope we'll see the 'bigger' airboat when you finish it :nrocks:
