I don`t know why I`m posting this - it isn`t neat and it isn`t pretty but it does run, to a fashion! It is going in the project logs because it certainly isn`t finished yet. I`m going away next week so won`t get any shop time and with this terrible virus H1N1-sbwhart rocker strain going around, I have been dying to see if I could get one to run.
This was more of a test than anything, to see if I could get the rocker concept to work but I`m 100% going to remake this engine fully blinged up. I quite like the enlarged piston block and I`ll mount this on a base plate for the final piece.
Sorry, not the nicest engine in the pack but I really enjoyed making it, probably took about 3 hours and then 30 minutes with it today fine tuning to get it to run. It doesn`t run very well at all but this is because I haven`t made the bushing and consequently there is too much play in the crank.
All will be fixed when I get home along with a good polish and bling up - certainly going to stick to the enlarged cylinder block and base, I like the look.
Thanks for introducing this Stew.
