Worden grinder

John Rudd:
One of the biggest issues with the rain is the bricks my garage is built from...absorb water like a sponge, despite being treated with Thompsons Water Stop ( or whatever it is..)

So making  it colder and damp, more than usual...

Fergus OMore:
I'm part way through making a Mark3 Worden   but Santa brought me an Acute T&C from Eccentric.

Ain'nt arf wet, mate. Innit?
Cheers

Norman

John Rudd:
Hi Norman,
How far on are you with your Worden?
I finished mine and added the feed mechanism and the jig for slit saw sharpening. Mrs bought me them for Christmas to keep me busy....

Does the Acute tool cater for end/slot mills?

Still raining here in Backworth...☔️☔️☔️

Keep safe and dry...

Fergus OMore:
Hi John

Progress is slow- Old age( now 90) and eye infirmary :hammer:

The Acute CAN do end mills as well as lathe tools but haven't around to them yet. Thhere is a nice video from Eccentric.
You'l be interested.  I bought a CBN pr diamond wheel from Axminstser Tools to do them and carbides.
FYI I  bought both a 80 and 100 grit white Aloxite 6" wheels from them. Not cheap but the lathe tools seem brilliant.
Sadly I have macular degeneration and the Left eye is quite useless  and I have jabs in the Right one. So it is is splot vision.
Despite lockdown since February, I', still  buoyant  and wish you all healt, wealth and happiness in the New Year.

I've recently gone 'bonkers' and bought a 2nd hand Potts vertical mill attachment complete with lots of division's, a No2 MT Myford spindle and it's all with a 9 hole divion plate :headbang:
And sush, I'm spending the Children's Inheritance with a almost new Myford Super 7B with a PXF.

So I wish you all well---- WELL?
