OK, we'll give this a try. I'll start with the only one of my own design. While simple, it was useful in acquainting me with some of the principles involved with these machines. It also allowed me to build something with basic hand tools without having to invest in a lathe, etc. Given that it worked - at least to my satisfaction - I decided to dip my foot in a little deeper.

Nice job for just using hand tools. Looks like you'd be a force to reckoned with if you had machine tools such as a lathe and mill. :)

Here is the first of my machined efforts, the Stuart S50, produced using the Taig lathe. Stuart advertises the S50 as being a good 'beginner' project, and since I was a beginner ....
Not yet run on steam but spins nicely on air.
