Thanks, but no 90 degree one there - been there and looked  earlier

I've ordered some Chinese ones off ebay - I wonder if the fairies or these cutters will turn up first  :ddb:

I blame multiple dimensions.

Either that or I'm losing my marbles. Now, where did I put them ??

Hi All

--- Quote ---Does anyone else have workshop fairies?
--- End quote ---

Yup  :palm: So many things have dissapeared in my workshop its unbelievable

About 5 years ago a chrome oil tank cap rolled off the saddle of its bike onto the floor
Since then I have cleared out the entire floor area to move lathes around but the oil cap is still missing ????

Last week I went to use a piece of steel plate to make a jig so an awkward shaped bike cylinder head could be mounted on a  head machine so it could have new valve seats fitted
Now I'm positive that I  had made such a jig plate before as I know that I had prevoiusly gotten the same job done ??
No sign of the steel plate ????  I persuaded myself that I must have given it away to someone???
Off to the local scrap recyclers place and got a piece of 20mm thick ally about 200 x 350mm
There were a couple of skips full of really handy looking pieces there, but I resisted stocking up

Today as I was cleaning off the workbench I suddenly realised that I had used the steel plate to add load area underneath the "new" vice I got a while ago

They strike again.

Some time back I bought front wheel  bearings for my car as the old ones were starting to whine a bit.

The whining has developed into a steady drone. Quite frightening.

So, today being dry and not too cold I decided to change at least one side.

And I can't find the bearings.

Just spent two hours looking in my sheds.

I know they are in there somewhere.

But, as the consequences of a front wheel bearing collapse can be catastrophic I am going to have to go by some more, at £20 each.

And I know that as soon as I get beck home with the new ones the first lot will appear in a place I have already looked.

Damned gremlings.

Dave.
