I knew I would need an 1/8 gas blanking cap for when I removed a gas fire in my flat. This was going to be some time in the future. I found one in a box and then put it aside "safely". When I needed it 18 months later it was nowhere to be found, surprisingly. It was only when I stripped out my kitchen that I found it, on a small corner shelf on a kitchen cupboard, by the sink, and clearly on display. I must have looked at it hundreds of times whilst standing at the sink but did it register? Of course not :Doh: |
