Well I made some progress with the ash dump flap today :dremel: I reused the material from the not so good flap , yes I could just cut a new bit but why waste materials . Just need to stick a handle /lever on it :dremel: , now its pie and chips time . ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,or maybe toad in the hole :scratch: Cheers Rob |

I decided to have toad in the hole for tea :D Bent up a handle from 20mm bar ,two actually did not like the first design . Bobs bending pins (made about 20 years ago ) :dremel: First handle ,the one I did not like the look of it for this job . so I bent up another on other end of the bar . and welded to flap . A bit clean up here and there and thats that for the bottom part , hood tomorrow :ddb: Rob |

Cheers Steve :wave: , have made any progress with your lathe build ? Well today did not go to plan , I was planning on doing the hood today but it has rained hard all day , I have to cut the 8x4 sheet up outside . :Doh: So I stripped the forge and cleaned up the stand ,finished the welding and removed the weld splatter . And a group shot of parts made so far Hopefully the weather at the weekend will be better . Rob :beer: |
