Greetings from Switzerland
«

Good morning everybody, i have not a lot to say about me, independent worker, specialised in last chance actions,
I'm not only working on metal
, but on
Ivory
, tortoiseshell and other organic materials, totally legally I precise, in respect with CITES and ICOMM reglementation.
Working with my wife, i'm a collector too of a lot of things, especially when they need special craftmanship like eighteen century carved coconuts.
It's all, best regards from Payerne Switzerland.

ThanksJohn,
Yes, I'm finding a lot of tricks through the site, personally if somebody is interested by the ripan system, it's my speciality for customising, the maker has his workshop near me, 20 minutes by car, and we discut a lot about novelties.

Hi there, Pierre,
Welcome to Mad Modders.
You ask about 'picture amount', I suspect you meant picture size?
I suggest that, starting from the home page, you click on 'Gallery', then on 'Picture resizing using Fast Stone Resizer' and read that thread.
It is laborious viewing pictures that are too big - scrolling vertically isn't too bad but scrolling horizontally on a big picture can be laborious if the horizontal scroll bar is off the bottom of the screen!!!

So by precision are we talking Holtzapfel? Ornamental turning etc
Fascinating stuff to watch and try to make . I've seen some ivory chess pieces by the late Bill Jones , made from 5 different pieces of ivory (antique) hand turned. Incredible work and such a skilled turner.
Never heard of coconuts being turned though. I will watch with interest.
Regards

Hi
Welcome to the forum, nice to have new members who work in more unusual materials. Look forward to seeing some of your work, and the tools and techniques you use.
Cheers David
