I have been machining since 1969. First in school, then working in a machine shop. Now I have my own small CNC shop. This shows the ongoing progress of getting it up and running (click on Shop):

I have been involved in several start-up companies where I designed, built and tested electric motors, plus made the dynomometers to do the tests. I've also been involved in the development of several products.
My passion is airplanes. From my youth, I built control line models then graduated to R/C, and finally to full size. I have built several aircraft in my computer and I am trying to figure out how to get them out. My avatar is one of them. To learn about programming embedded microcontrollers, I designed an electronic digital tachometer to put in my airplane when it's built. You can see the process here (click on Tachometer):
