Well finally finished my rendition of Harold Hall's grinding rest.....

Not sure when I started it, years ago I'm sure!

Ooh, nice John. There's a build log on one of these going on somewhere at the moment. It's on my to do list. Can we see some pics or better still video of you using it when you're ready? I'd particularly like to see if drill bits can be sharpened using this jig?

AFAIK, it will sharpen end mills with the appropriate fixtures described in the book...I see no reason for it not to sharpen drill bits..
It would need a suitable holder and a stop attaching to the drill bit being sharpened to both lands are ground equally....
I did have one of the MachineMart drill sharpening units but found it hit and miss because there was no way to avoid over grinding ....... :coffee:
