Top Notch Darren , I think things cut away like that are interesting even if its not really an item you are interested in. I might just start looking for a few items myself , looks like they will make good displays. Thanks for posting.
Cheers Mick.
As you say Mick anything that has been cutaway is interesting, these are just a few bits that i have cut myself while waiting for other stuff to come along, i do have a few other random bits and bobs that are "factory cutaways" that i have managed to purchase over the last couple of years from various places.
I have a pre production 750cc (XTZ750) Yamaha motorbike engine that was made into a cutaway by Yamaha UK some years back, it was used at some of their trade shows/events originally in the early 90's. That is a beast of an engine. Originally it had a small electric motor attached which would have set it running very slowly but unfortunately the electric motor is missing. I am hoping one day when i get round to it to replace that motor and get the engine back into a perspex display case.
The trouble is now is that there are less and less "physical factory Cutaways" about due to most of these companies using digitally rendered cutaways to advertise their products etc.
