Nah! you don't need em.... Anyway. There's 2 on here somewhere? get searching!  :poke:

I'm going to be in the minority I assure you. I've seen one other who looks my size and colour in the 3 shows I've attended.  But he was about 20... I'm 37!
Trust me, I stand out from a crowd!  :)

Where's the challenge if you don't got to wonder?

I've got a slight transport problem.......

Packed and ready to go tomorrow, is a dc motor. Planned to be handed to it's new owner at the show.

Unfortunately, the Newcastle contingent are not attending this year!

Is anyone from north of Harrogate, willing to transport it on it's way, further north?

Nearly didn't make it... Mate's car ran out of tax a month ago!!! He realised while cleaning it today! So now we're travelling in a 1.2 Corsa not a 3.0 V6 Omega

Still, lift is a lift!

Took my grandad with me today so didn`t end up meeting with you guys. He really enjoyed it, as did I. Here are some photos he took:

Then I was blown away with the chain driven clock - spoke for a good hour with the builder and hopefully it will be being built as a build log on here before Christmas... lots of projects to finish first! I took these:

Well, I didn't take a single piccy!! Was busy talking to my mate, then spent an hour with the mad crowd  :mmr:
Nice to meet/chat with you guys

Then spent a few hours looking for some cash I thought I had?
If anyone is going tomorrow could they check the floor... I seem to have lost a few hundred quid!

Found some interesting tooling though. So it's probably going to be ok!?  :dremel:  :ddb:  :)

Right... Now I'm going to sleep! Got another big day tomorrow starting with washing and polishing the car at 5am!  :loco:

Divided he ad, HS93, StillDrillin, AussieJimG, Craynerd, John S.

It was nice to meet you today and to put faces to a few names.

I only took any photos of an ME Petrol powered roller - I acquired a part finished one about 30 years ago and this was the first time I've seen a nicely finished one.

There didn't seem to be quite as many trade stalls this year and the lighting in the main trade area was apalling. I went out to the car in bright sunshine to get my sandwiches and when I came back in I couldn't see anything for several minutes - it was so dark.

Despite not having anything on my shopping list I left with a much lighter wallet than I left home with!

Love the boat models, as that is one area which we on this side of the pond. Don't seem to cover as well or in as much detail! Or the long ago unpleasantries between the local groups that is festering with the wet set    Don't think they even remember what it was about. Looks to be a great show

Nice avatar Phil

Just a thought after our little chat...  Aluminium with a steel "tyre"? loctited on? Quicker to machine?  or not authentic enough?

David, you looked spritely enough to me  :ddb:   Can you point me toward that thread we were talking about with the charity info etc on it... Can't recall which thread you said it was again!

Been that busy all day I've still not sorted through my new stuff!  Got to tidy my workshop up a bit to find new homes for it all

Gonna be a busy next few days!

Hi Ralph,

Not a bad idea. I'm not too worried about authenticity. I had a chat with a guy on the OLCO (Old Locomotive Committee) stand and I'm sure he showed me a picture which showed that Lion had been retyred and the tyres were bolted to the rim. Under some black paint no-one (but me and you) would know the truth!

I haven't seen the Reeves castings for the wheels yet - if they don't look that good I may have to make them. I'd love to have a go at casting and could easily CNC the patterns but there are only so many hours in the day etc. etc.

Nothing good on TV tonight so we're going to watch a DVD of The Titfield Thunderbolt (they used Lion in the film) - I haven't seen it for 40+ years.
