I love looking at pictures of other members workshops so I thought I had better put some of my own up
These were taken today part way through a tidyup I say part way but I got bored

You know I think I often take living in a rural area in Aus for granted....

Great shop mate, Im amazed at what some of you guys do in such small spaces.... I dont think I could fit my tooling in there...

Nice comfy setup you got there Jason. Nicely organized (except for that one pile

)

Some undershelf storage setup would be great. Divided he ad has a post somewhere about some stuff he did. He has a nicely done shelf type unit to swap projects... Will look for the link.

Very well organized in there. Did you build that shed yourself?
The reason I ask is that I want to build a shed myself to store my woodworking stuff to separate it from the metalworking stuff in the basement.

Sorry guys I missed your questions

Jari it is approximately 7 foot 3" by 8 foot 4".

Nelson I did not build it my self ,a local shed/timber frame building company custom built it.
The shed is long and narrow to fit in a gap between the garage and a wall and is split in two with a dividing wall the rear half is all insulated and boarded
and the front half is full of gardening stuff.

bigmini the walls are dirtier than they look and the lathe in picture four looks new but the drip tray has oil and swarf over it which does not show on camera
plus the the shed/shop is only a year or two old and I only get out there at the weekend most of the year.

A adaptor for a pressure brake bleeder I use at work
I made this to fit london taxis but it seems to fit most european vehicles unlike the adaptors supplied with the machine

Nothing major as you can see and mostly lathe work
Currently I'm trying to add some scales to my mill and I need to make a few more brake bleeding adaptors
Future projects might include some metal parts to replace the plastic parts e.g. wheels and stuff on one of these

What do you mean Jason, under bench storage?

You haven't even started to use your vertical storage, the walls.

I don't think I could find a 1 square foot of bare patch on mine at the moment.

On the wall = out of the way.

I need some storage John because most stuff under the benches is slung into cardboard boxes

So I picked up a pair of these secondhand this week

each draw is about A4 size and 2" deep
No good for big stuff but great for end mills,drill sets,taps and dies,ER collets sets,files,engineers squares,live centre set
and loads more stuff that used to live in plastic and wooden boxes that I have now evicted from the workbench

Very nice stuff there. Thanks for the pics. I like the look of your tools and they could well be my choice. Either the x2 or warco mini mill. I'm still researching!

Sears here in the states has some great cabinets for workshops with flexible shelving and holders in the doors.

Really maximizes the use of space.

on the walls well mines mostley cuverd with overspray a bent nal and a bit of mig welding wire and you can hang out up
