A interesting wall engine

Whilst visiting an industrial museum today we came across this interesting wall engine it hangs from a roof  girder and was driving a few old machines by line shafting, it was coupled up to air pipes so I guess its a runner.

Its about 24" by 18" in size couldn't see any makers name.

This look like an old Drumond lathe.

And her something too drool over Triumph Tiger Cub. I think.

Not a Tiger Cub, not with girder forks .. looks a bit like a Model 5/4, 493cc, circa 1934.

Much modified, should not have a dual seat, chrome headlamp etc.

Not sure, it should also have hand gear change on the tank.

Might also be a circa 1937 Tiger 80, 350cc ?? This did have a foot gear change

Doubtful if any get to 2010 in original spec.

And No, before you ask. I was not around when they were new ...

That's an interesting engine, Stew.  Thanks for the pics!
I had to gawk at it a few minutes to figure out what they had going on with that trailing crosshead setup.  It would be a fun one to watch running.  The steam chest is at kind of an odd angle, too.  All around, kind of a unique looking unit.

Thanks for the shot of the little Trumpet, too.  My favorite, Triumphs.  They were big here in the states at one time.  I had a Bonny for years.  My brother in law had a Norton.  We were born again Limeys!  (I say that in every good way.  Working on them was part of the fun.)

Dave:- Thanks for putting us right with the Bike, I know two Triumphs, the Bonnie and the Tiger Cub that my Lot.


Dean:- I think they were trying to get a compact engine so that it could me overhead mounted, the steam chest is angled again to keep things compact and simple, overall a very interesting engine it would be nice to find out who made it.
