Harrison L5
« on: June 04, 2015, 10:40:44 AM »
I don't no if this should live here or in some other thread so please move if so.

The forward/reverse switch on the Harrison L5 has chucked it's hand in, it started a month or so ago when it would not switch on.
I pulled it apart but did not have a clue what i was looking at, all seemed to be in order so it had it's lid put back.
Today it has died, it just turns: i can find lots of rotary switches on the bay but they start from £12 and go up to over £100
Can some body help me as to what i buy? Many thanks.  Lyn.

Kayzed, have a look through the L5 spares on the G&M tools site, they have several different types of  Harrison rotary switches.

Thank you all, and THANK you Manxmodder. It is the Klockner-Moeller  switch on my machine and i have ordered one :nrocks:
The spindle is turning on mine but the cams are not moving    312 plus 3 for postage is not bad at all.

Klockner-Moeller switch arrived this morning, not as big as the original switch and different attachment to the box  but for the money it  will fit with a bit of :dremel: must check the connections as well.
