Greetings!
« on: September 21, 2010, 06:26:53 PM »

Hi all,
lennard from Oz [new member]

have a C2 lathe and x2 mill, and my main interest is making tooling and stationary engines of the steam sort. Look foreward to learning all I can from you and throwing in my bit of experience as well.
cheers, lennard

Col, I'm in central East Gippsland, Victoria. Just joined the Gippsland Model Eng. Society, so have a bit of company now. Where are you?

Eric, have been ME'ing for about 2 years now, and built several smallish stationary engines, mostly from plans that I have modified, and luckily they all work well so far. They are 10-12 mm bore, and I'm just gearing up to try 20mm. Having joined the above club, my wife is starting to hint that she'd like a loco to run there, so looks like my retirement hobby will be full on!

regards all,

lennard

Hi Lennard

I'm on the  Sunshine Coast.  Been here for about 6 years as the wife couldn't cope with the cold in Canberra.  Were you affected by the bushfires a couple of years ago?  Have a cousin in Traralgon who lost her house at Calignee.  Went down for work the week after and it was pretty horrendous seeing all the damage.  The company I work for lost part of the building that houses the TV/Radio transmitters at Mt Tassie.

I will do an intro post soon when I get some piccies of the workshop.  People on here like piccies.
