A nineteeth centuary key repair.

This video is about making a new stem and ring for a nineteenth century lock. I braze the steel parts with brass braze and I use silver solder to braze the brass "bit" to the steel tenon. This makes it easier as the melting point of the silver solder is lower.

Very interesting Iv'e always had a fascination with old locks! I have to say though I was yelling for a while about the catching of that piece!
