A while ago I said I was going to take the apron off because the feed screw would tighten and engage on it's own..
clausing lathe apronI was actually suprised to see how simple it was just a taper fit but I couldn't see how to keep them separate so it wouldn't engage!
clausing lathe apronon the other end there is just a knob, washer with flats so it couldn't spin on the shaft and a nut to lock it all together. My son took it to work and polished the shaft and I decided that it needed a spring in the holes for the dowels and found some 24 mm ones at the hobby store and it works great now it's a treat to use so if anyone has this problem give it a try.
