and here's a sample on a 6mm rod just to see if it worked.

the first ball made properly will be the one on the handle.

mind you, I think I'll use the collet chuck when using this tool, it comes perilously close to the chuck jaws

Double tipped too.... Most enjoyable shapes to be made IMHO.


Yup, got to watch those jaws when doing work close in. I always turn the chuck by hand with the tool in it's extreme positions to make sure it is safe..... Learned from experience  



Don't be stingy with the photo's of the finished article and bits you make....  We all likes piccys

I started working on one yesterday, I need to make a base that will mount to the compound of my Atlas/Craftsman so I can have enough room to make some big knobs..
