Got my copy in a 'Remainder' bookshop in the early '80's for £1.50.
Although mine is the second edition.
On a stack of 4 or 5 ..
Should have snapped up the others ... :palm:
Ah well, I was probably always meant to be a loser .... :bang: :bang:

That is one heck of a price! Is there really people willing to buy at that price?

I expect it's worth what people are prepared to pay, like everything else.
Cheaper one here, but that's £40. Nearer the mark? Who knows.

Only a few years since a friend bought 11 pre-WW1 copies of the 'Magnet' comic. Tatty and dog-eared. Paid over £80 with auctioneers commission etc. but he seemed delighted. ( Mind you, his mrs. is pretty ugly so maybe 'orrible stuff is his thing ?? )

That's nothing, I've got a copy of this!

It's a very good book but probably not worth £1,144.01
