I've made a three legged stand but found it hard to accurately get the three legs all at the angel and equal spacing is there a easy way to set them up I just did by eye but would like to know the correct way if anyone can help
3 legs all at 45 degrees from centre

One of the advantages of having three legs is that it wont rock because one leg is too short unlike a four legged stool !

The problem is easily enough solved but what are you working with? what machines are you working with?
A simple divider / compass could be used to scribe a circle from center of the piece and the same tool could be used to mark off at 120DEG each, the angle of 45deg could come from the plane of the surface holding the legs.... the question is simple but the correct answers will come from what your working with.

Its amazing that something so apparently simple and straightforward turns out so dammed awkward. ;-)
