Title: Collet identification
Post by: NormanV on January 13, 2014, 01:18:59 PM
I have a toolpost grinder that uses collets to hold the cutter. I only have the one collet and would like to obtain some more. Can anyone please identify the type so I know what to ask for? The diameter of the rear part is 9.5mm
Thanks, Norman

Looking at it more closely I think that it is home made. I might as well make some more myself.

Certainly looks home-made but I bet it's a copy of a factory collet, unless the spindle is home-made too.

These look like the same type you get on an air grinder albeit longer?
