Finally built me a jib crane that covers my whole garage (tired of trying to muscle those 200 lb motors around) started with a 5" diameter 1/4" wall round and slid a 6" square 1/4" wall over the top, greased the pole.
The winch is a harbor freight tools 2000 lb, 12 volt winch. I will get a small battery maintainer for the battery.
The trolly wheels are roller skate wheels, six of them they have a 5/16 bolt through them.
The jib will go out side the garage door by two feet. I have a 6 foot 6 inch clearance under it, so don't have to worry about running into it.

Hi Ivan ? , nice job  , you could say ' I like the cut of its jib ' :D , looks like you have the same sort of filing system as me for keeping everything in its exact designated place too  . I noticed your grinder station, I have been thinking of building something like that as seem to have a few grinders all taking up space , do you find it works in practice ? any tips , do's and don'ts ?
Cheers Mick.

Ya Mick I don't have a clue who made that mess in my garage when I find out there will be trouble.
On the grinder the best part is I spin a cut off wheel that is my favorite working tool
I mostly use the side of the the disk for deburring and such.. I just lift a pin and rotate from one grinder to the other.

I'd like to make one from my back door to the basement to move some more machinery downstairs.
