Last April Hugh (ths) suggested that members in the vicinity might like to meet for a beer and a chat at the Crookwell Pub (in New South Wales, Australia).
Hugh was still recovering from a broken leg (with complications) at the time but he reckoned he would be up and about in mid-November.
So it is nearly mid-November now. Who is up for a meeting on (say) Saturday 30 November at (say) 1100 at the Crookwell Pub?

I'm on my way. Now let's see - taxi to local station - big puffa train up to London - tube out to Heathrow - a few days on an aeroplane to Aus - hire car at the far end. By heck the beer better be good
I hope that you all have a good time.

Jim, I sure do wish I could join you at the pub. Had a great time in Oz back in the mid '80's with the USAF at Kangaroo III exercise at RAAF Amberly.
Andrew, the beer is great! I can vouch for that. At the RAAF Amberly NCO Mess, if you ordered a beer, it came in a frosted glass or pitcher. If you didn't drink it before the frost melted, the barman would take it away as you wern't serious about it!

It can be done Andrew, you just need to spend the kid's inheritance. I made it to Harrowgate last year and had a great time.
Next year I will be over your way Chuck, I am booked for Cabin Fever with Philjoe and then a River Cruise from New Orleans to Nashville (is that in E. TN?) maybe we can catch up for a beer then.

No, Jim, Nashville is in central TN, about 5-6 hours from me by car. Hope you can find a way over this end, would enjoy having a beer or 3 with ya! That invitation is still open.
Haven't done anything about Cabin Fever 2014 yet.

That's the beauty of it you get to play and they still get it in the end! I have my grandfathers lathe, and my fathers lathe, shaper, and drill press as well as tools. I have added plasma, milldrill and a 7" bandsaw. Now we both are starting to play with casting. The best part is I won't have to pull them out of the bloody basement! :D

There has been a bit of discussion over at MEM and the meeting has been postponed until second Saturday in February.
Of course if there is a bunch of blokes who want a rehearsal ...
