Please send us free content, and we'll wrap it up in enough proprietary viewer scripts and coded link addresses to make sure nobody else can have it while we work out ways to capitalize on it. We're at the forefront of information freedom!

Hello Don.
Just downloaded Photobucket.
It starts by backing up all photo's and allows then to organise.I needed to do this anyway and
get rid of some stuff.
I will try and post a new project this weekend to the group and see if that helps the link problems experienced
with Google + (Picasa3)
thanks

Good stuff. If you need a hand with anything regarding the MadModder board that i can help you with just give a shout.
I haven't had any feed back from other users of Google Plus so I guess it isn't too popular on this board.
Good luck on moving stuff around and getting it sorted. :D
Cheers

Pardon my griping. I occasionally go off the deep end. :loco:
There's great info for using Photobucket here on the site.
One of the little tricks I use with photobucket is, after registering, go to your uploading page and save that address as a bookmark.
Then I just click that link to go to photobucket -- it automatically asks you for username and password, and opens up for uploads -- saves time. Also I use a script and popup and ad blocker with my browser, so I get a pretty uncluttered upload page. Hope this helps....

If that is what you call griping then you can do as much as you want to. Me, I just think of it as a couple of usefull tips. That is what I do if/when I use Photobucket.
I don't upload many photo's and when I do I usually like to attach them in a 800x600 or 640x480 size so they will always stay with the article even after I or photobucket have bitten the dust. VT I believe that most of your photo's are also attached so they will always be there. That way there will never be any notices saying that the bandwidth has been exceeded, etc. etc. :D :D
Cheers

I meant my earlier poke at Google+. Maybe it wasn't perceived as such :)

Not bothered about your griping VT. But, that's a good tip!
After many years membership, I have 5 albums. Usually uploading to the wrong one........
Bookmarking the present favourite solves all that! :D
Thanks for the idea!

Don
I had to remove photobucket from my PC.
It became to dominant on start up and clashed with Google.
So if I do need to send photos, they will be sent via attachments if this is OK
Thanks

Hello Don
See if this works.Still trying to find away,my Photobucket expedition was a disaster.
Just a group of photo's from random.

It seemed to work for me.

Works for me, John.
Unfortunately, I like separate pics, in with the writing.
Can't help you re the Pbucket aggression.
I've recently returned to p/b, after throwing a tantrum, and trying Image Shack. That's nowhere near as good......... :palm:

It seems to work somewhat better. I tried it and first it didn't work. Then I read that it worked for you and David so went and tried it again. This time it seemed to work better but I guess not what I was expecting.
I guess that I am used to having the text and photo on the same page the way they would be in a book. Not one book for text and another book for photo's. :D :D
Cheers

You're showing some good work there John!
You'll get things sorted, quite soon...... I hope!
Looking forward to seeing more of your work, which I couldn't see on the 7 x 12 forum.

Many websites run scripts on your computer that do more than just facilitate viewing the site. That's how those sites make money. They track the user and develop salable user or statistical profiles for commercial outfits and advertisers.
These scripts can be poorly written, or even intentionally intrusive and therfore cause havoc at times, particularly where they conflict with operating systems or even scripts from other sites.
There are anti-script add-ons for browsers like Firefox -- NoScript is the one I use -- and these can be used to warn of scripts or disable them, or enable them on a temporary basis or even enable them permanently on a site by site basis.
Another frequent crasher of browsers is Flash. It's under constant revision and has a bad history of poor and intrusive code. A similar add-on browser solution is Flashblock. Again, it can be tailored to view flash where wanted and blocked where it doesn't play nice.
I find Photobucket needs a fair amount of taming from these security add-ons to make it play nice, and just accept my photos and allow me to generate a link to those photos.
But once tamed, it's very straightforward to use, and pretty quick.
