Another little item made while waiting for my left arm heals properly. Just a simple hand crank for my C3 this time.
Two items to turn after hack sawing the bits from the stock, and a longish M6 socket head screw. Together they make up an extension to the spindle onto which I can fit a crank.

Traditional construction working well.
The crank itself came as a salvaged part from a very old two-speed hand drill with this particular purpose in mind.

The two together makes for a very easily attached hand crank, and as the crank is secured to the spindle extension by a thumb screw, it will be extremely easy to remove to run the lathe by motor.
CAUTION!
DON'T EVER RUN THE LATHE WITH THE CRANK FITTED!

I made the extension long enough so that I could keep the change gear cover on.
