OK ... Lots of you on here ....
 
What is a 'SPUGGY' ?? ( or a 'SPUGGIE' I suppose ).

Just been talking to a Geordie ex-workmate lives in Croydon now.
 
Said he had been making a feeding table so his wife could feed the 'spuggies' ???
 
I thought he'd gone off his head ..  :loco:  more than usual.
 
I case it was just him, I though I'd better check ...
 
To me a 'spuggy' is a woodlouse ....  :lol:

Well, as someone from Middlesbrough who is often cast as a Geordie, we call 'em spuggies too.. :D

As for woodlice, 'orrible little barstewards...seem to get everywhere...
And, I dont find them appetising...even if Davina does.. :coffee:

 Aye , spuggies are sparrows and stinkas are starlings and a skemmy is a feral pidgeon ( flying rat ) a woody is a wood pidgeon in Geordieland  :thumbup: ...........there are many more local words that folk who do not speak Geordie dont have a clue about too  :lol: ......... Double boost will tell you more  :clap:

Around here wood lice are called slaters and sparrows are called......sparrows. :coffee:
