Title: DTI clamps
Post by: ChriX on April 10, 2013, 01:17:47 PM
Hi all, might be a stupid question but do the little thumb screw clamps used to attach a DTI to a mag base (for example) have a name? I seem to have accumulated DTIs and things to attach them to, but no clamps, so was wondering if I could get a few cheap on eBay or something but I can't seem to find anything. Any ideas?

If you mean the round thing that clamps onto the dovetail it's called a Stem, at least by some manufacturers.

Update: here's a pic:

Hi ChriX

Have a go at making some; good exercise on turning, knurling, cross drilling, slitting. Made a couple years ago, think I have one left kicking about somewhere
