Title: Indexing disks

Anyone know the correct procedure for mounting the indexing disks to the rotary table made by Soba?
This is what I got

The instructions make no mention of how to do it

Take the hand wheel off, it will be self explanatory.

You should have a slotted out bar and plunger to replace the handle.

Ok cheers Jonny. Is the bolt a left hand thread? cannot get it to budge

I have tryed to undo the bolt from the center off the hand wheel
This one

I have also removed this grub screw

and it still wont budge, I have bent one of my allen keys trying to undo this bolt.
Need help please

Ask Chronos to replace it, Ian. Not fit for purpose, if you can't fit the discs which came with it.

I have fairly similar lookking set. Different brand and might be done in a different place. I removed the handle without drama long time ago. As far as I remember I just removed the hex socket screw and pulled the hand wheel. The hand wheel has a key, it won't turn on the shaft.

When I go home today, I could go into garage and check how to take handwheel out of my rotab.

I definately bin all original keys and generally original screws, they are pretty appalling quality.

Thanks for all your replys, 4 swift tap with the hammer and the bolt came lose by allen keys own weight.



Now know how Thor feels, the power off the hammer

I was going to suggest a hammer, close to the shank of the allen wrench while applying light pressure with the hand at the end, for shock loosening, but hesitated to suggest my own methods in front of wiser and more intelligent audience.   :hammer:
