Brass  -  Jaguar XK120 FHC  -  '52/3?

John  -  IF there's any interest?? I'm interested.  This plea comes from a man who once drove flat out down the Mulsanne straight in the rain ...

.... in a 2CV4 (435cc)

The motor museum at Le Mans is well  worth seeing.

Hi Ray
Flat out in a 2cv, that must have been an eye watering 25mph then.  :ddb: :ddb: :ddb:

A friend of mine competes in them

Nah, tailwind gave me an extra 5mph

Actually the little 435cc was quite zippy. Engines were unburstable and got to 7000 rpm in standard form. Once had her at 77 mph (downhill motorway, no gendarmes)

August 25-27   Snetterton 24 hour race

Remarkably few retirees in most 24 hr 2CV races and tyres cost a mere £30 each. Cheap racing, even after the mandatory regs.

Ok John / Raggle  :lol:ill  have to sort some pics out then.

Raggle, only managed 145mph this time in the Skyline from Arnage up through the Porche Curves, No Gendarmes no traffic, cant understand why it needs a new set of tyres now  there were ok when we left home.

Apologies to Bob for thread drift :)

The woody is a 1940 Ford V8 91A  -  our researches show 3800 cc (233.7 cu in)  -  very pretty
