Hi
Mike
The Boxford is a good solid lathe £500 is a good price depending on condition & what comes woth it
Is it single ot 3 phase
There are plenty of bits available for them on ebay
My present lathe is a Boxford AUD
If you could post some pictures that would help
Regards
John

Nothing nasty springs to mind
It all depends on condition and how it has been used
Have a look at this site loads of info there

Hi, I have a Boxford Model A and I love it. It is a perfect size for me and my workshop. I was very very lucky and picked mine up cheap (£100) with three, 3 jaw chucks and a 4 jaw and a few other extras. From what I`ve seen on homeworkshop website, £500 would be top end wouldn`t it guys? - but that isn`t to say it isn`t worth it depending on condition and what is with it.

Good luck
Chris

Mike, go to yahoo.co.uk and search for the Boxford lathe group, stuffed full of info, plenty of experience, very helpful and friendly.

Hi guys,

off to see the lathe this morning, I joined the Boxford lathe group on Yahoo but i must admit i found the layout quite confusing it's not easy like this.
Maybe I'm just showing my age , anyway i will let you know what happens later.

Thanks Mike
