Hi all.
I have been searching for a new mill for some time with no luck but 2 weeks a go, one of my lucky days arrived. A guy, former machinist, put up his Aciera F3 for sale.
After some talk I decied to buy it, unseen :bugeye:, only on pictures ( for allmost the same I could get an X2 here in Norway.
Comes w/ wertical ram/head, horr. ram and to arbors 22 and 25 mm, and slottinghead. collets:1 to 15.5 mm in .5 mm increments.
I had a 1000 km roundtrip to get it home but no regrets so far, it feels smooth and "tight". hopefully will have it under power tomorrow.
Only thing to it, there have been a crappy paintjob too it so will redo that in hopefully the original colour. Any suggestion on paint to use
Here is a couple of pics of it.

I know just barely enough about those to have a serious case of mill envy. And I would think those accesories would be hard to find and very expensive. I'd be more than willing to buy a X2 and ship it over as a trade if you still really want one just because I'd like to help. :)

Hi all.
Thanks for the coments.
I have had it under power and I tell you, its so nice and smooth and quiet ,its allmost unbeliveble its over 40 maybee 50 years old. only thing I have discovered is a bad bearing in the motor, just a piece of cake.
And Steve: do not bother send me a X2, save your money and buy you a ticket and come on over,
you are welcome , and if you asking real nice you can try it   .

I have never seen one like that before. Even if you paid double the cost of an X2 I thing you have still stole it. Quality machines last a long time and even if they do get a fault they are generally easy to fix.
