Title: New Member From Colorado
Post by: DavidBraley on March 10, 2012, 11:00:32 PM
Hello all.

Excited to find this place. Some very clever people here. Seems to have a lot of folks who are into understanding how stuff really works, and making it their own. Been building and fixing stuff most of my life. Even built the house I live in. I have a strong interest in cars and I try to design and build as much as I can.

My home shop is very modest, but I'm proud of it. Just enough to allow me to get on with the task of creating something without the distraction of fighting with my tools. My only complaint is I only work in 800 square feet and wish I had 5,000!

I'll to do some more poking around here, and then I'll jump in.

Take care all,

David

Hi there David  welcome to Madmodder :mmr:

We like to see all sorts of projects here, so whatever you are working on, don't feel shy, post up the detail and pictures for all to see.

Right now I wish I had 800 sq feet for a playroom workshop, I've just moved house and have no workshop at all at the moment, all my tools are packed in storage until I can build a workshop.

Hiya David :)  Good to see you over here. I'm not that active here currently.

Suits you proper, I believe :) Saw your caster camber thread, I can look at those all day :)  I look forward to a full anodizing write up, I think you said something like that was coming :)

Hi David,
Welcome to MadModder! I just LOVE your avatar, I used to stick things in power points when I was a boy to see what would happen. Now I have the fastest reflexes on the planet!  :zap:

ONLY 800 sq feet?? My shed is approx 12 x 12 and if my maths is correct (never was my strong point) that's 144sq feet, not like my previous house - I had a double car garage that I had my gear in, I got it fully insulated and had reverse cycle air con installed. It was great (sob...).

I have fond memories of Boulder, Colorado. I used to work for Storage Technology (StorageTek) here in Australia and went there for factory training on all the products back in the early/mid 80's. StoTek is no more I believe... :(
