Hi Alan,
Welcome from me too.
Where are you from? It is useful to let on so that answers to help can be located in your area.
Set it up on your profile then nobody ever has to ask.
Hope you enjoy the cube because you will be assimilated! :borg:

hi and welcome

Thx for the warm welcome,
I hail from Palatine, Illinois. I recognize some of you from other forums. Some by name, some by avatars. The internet is a small world.
Since I inherited my fathers machines I have become interested in miniature machining. He had mentioned to me in my youth that he knew people in the hobby but never participated himself. I like to think that the shadows in my dungeon shop are him watching over my work. He would approve. With three oscillators under my belt I will be looking to more complex designs.
Admittedly, the tiny scale of this hobby is really challenging my layout skills. Even while using magnification.

Rob,
Ask and you shall receive. Elmer's Fancy and Fancy II.
The photos of my first build (Elmer's #25) must be on another computer.

    Very nice Allan ,, Two mighty fine looking engines
I built Elmer's Fancy a few years back :dremel:
Do plan on making any more of Elmer's engines ?

Thx Dave,
I think you already saw the Fancy II on that now defunct sight. Good to see ya.
Rob,
Thx. I was thinking of doing his radial but I should probably pick one that is a little simpler. Something that incorporates a valve. Just finished an ER32 collet chuck that threads directly to the lathe spindle and a spindle nose for the rotary table so chucks will transfer directly from the lathe to it. Waiting on cutters to complete my radius tool.

 Nice one Allan
With the collet chuck body being square you can use it in the mill vice ,, handy for cross drilling and machining a flat on a job :med:
