If I don't she'll just buy these things - I would rather spend the money on tool to make it than just buy it !
A yarn winder and a yarn ball winder - I've made some drawings i SolidEdge (great tool !) and the winder is nearly done !
Look here and let Google do the translation for you.

What exactly does it do, Ksor? Is it a substitute for the child on this page?
http://www.1900s.org.uk/1940s50s-knitting-wool.htm
I remember my mother making me hold wool like that back in the 1950s, while she rolled it up into balls. The prospect of wearing a new woollen sweater never seemed to compensate for the boredom.

I remembered too - my mother doing so - that's one of the reasons I'm making it too - I don't like to go through this ones more  !
Grandchildren of today don't want to do stuff like that - it's too boring :offtopic: and they start talking about civil rights and so  !
Her next project is to let me make her that ball winder too  !
-
Ksor:
Very nice - I might have made a mistake showing the photo to my wife.
John.

Sure you have - "sisters" know what each other wants !
Happiness is new shoes, a yarn and a ball winder !
But oh, how we love them for it - right :D
-
Now I got a little futher with this project ... she's punking me all the time :hammer:
So now I can tell her some progress.
