Hi Guys,
Again another simple question, one that I just can't work out!
I want to turn my compound slide at an angle so I can cut an angle on to a piece of work (obvioulsy.
though there seems no way of securely holding the compound slide in the angle, due to there being only two holes and they are threaded too. I cant work out how to hold the compund slide at the angle securely!
Here are some pics to better explain.

just loosen the cap screws, rotate and tighten

Ross.
You should have two caphead screws, holding the compound slide to the swivel. Via the tapped holes in the swivel....
Slacken the screws. Rotate slide to required angle. Re tighten screws to lock slide in place.......
(Like wot Jim sed!).

Yeah the black circle part with the two tapped holes in your second pic - that part rotates. If it's never been moved it might be stuck - but not very hard. Re-fit the compound, leave it a little loose and give it a gentle thump with your hand.

I had a feeling that black bit would rotate, I'll make it move!
Thanks
