Hi Everybody,
My name is Dave Weir or known as Beagles, I'm a Locksmith Safe Technician and Gunsmith.
I am a Toolaholic this a disease that is internal and is terminal. :(
I have also put myself through Night School and learnt CAD Drawing with Solidworks 2010 I would recommend this to all, it helps when tool building the CAD drawing shows if a tool will function correctly before making the part and gets what is in your head as a design on paper....... It just shows you can teach a "Old Dog" new tricks.
I have been toolmaking for 25 odd years, and enjoy making my own tools, now after 3 Myfords, I have settled on a Emco Super 11, Emco FB2 Milling Machine, and Unimat 3.
I have a full restoration on Surface Grinder at the moment, converting it to Single Phase as well and hope to have this completed over the Summer Holidays.
This is a great site a I look forward to giving my input if possible, but I have spent the last week just trawling through the posts on the site of tools that members have made, these alone will keep me busy for sometime.

If I could just give a tiny suggestion, it might be a better idea to remove your email address from your sig' as spambots can trawl forums and you could then be deluged by a flood of unwanted emails. The members can still email you via the little email icon below your username :thumbup:
