G.Day Each,
Please can anyone help or guide me in the right direction?
A number of times now when i have started writing in the Post Box have nudged the Mouse accidently and lost every thing i have written.
I have tried various methods to get back the unfinished post but to no avail.
Is this my fault, the Computer or the system?

Gerry.
I use a laptop, with mouse......
Occasionally, I've lost work like that. I think me fumbly fingers tangle with the computer's (unused/ ignored) mouse pad.......
I just class it as yet another setback, sent to try me. :bang: :bang:

if its a longish post then why not compose it in note pad or any text editor , then select the text copy it, then paste it in the reply/post box on the forum .
that way you will still have the original text to fall back on in case of woopsies

CTRL-Z is 'undo'
If you were typing in the box and happened to highlight the text and remove it (no easy feat on a PC but very easy on a laptop) all you need to do is press CTRL & Z to 'undo' the delete.
You can do it multiple times if needs be and CTRL & Y will 're-do' your 'undo' - like using the back & forward buttons in internet explorer.
This won't work if you navigate away from the page you were typing in though.

Pete and Lordedmond have the right of it.
Compose your posts in a text editor then do a copy/paste. Easier to undo as well.
My laptop does what you are experiencing...
If you are using a PC, replace the mouse.

G.Day Guys and thanks for the comeback on my little problem.
I like the way Stuart explained his way and will possibly follow that trend.
The Cat just came in and got the Mouse.
