Title: machined chess pieces.

Now these do look good.

Any of you chaps turned any chess or draught pieces etc?

The top ones look quality and real.... The lower set look like swanky 3D renderings?

I'm going to assume that CAD and CNC were involved?  ( But you know what they say about assume? )


Never much liked chess..... Though always liked the shaped characters found on many chess boards!  :)

I`ve never tried turning any chess pieces but recon I could have a good go at parting a few buttons off some steel and brass bar and making some draught pieces ..  :)   ohh, then again, thinking about it, hummm parting...maybe not them either!  :doh:

They'd look good anodized maybe have the top half a different colour and screwed on? :ddb:
And weight the base with a heavier metal.
