Just received a Bowers metrology catalogue which is well recommended,  Moore and Wright sell micrometers upto 1800mm-2000mm.

We had a 6 footer for checking prop shafts on floating drill rigs.

no, it was from the 60's, some Rolls shafts.

Nope, not since decimalisation.You'll land up with a pitch error.

I think they've been banned anyway.

Probably best to keep quiet about having them, otherwise you'll have the local Council Behavioral Correction Partnership or some other bunch of Official Tormentors banging on your door ...  ::)
