Got it a couple of weeks ago when my computer crashed hard and I had to re-install everything.... It does seem quite satisfactory  :thumbup:
Still finding new little bits hidden in the toolbars etc. It would be nice if they could keep some of the layout you're used to and just make it quicker and better! Still.... That's progress for you!

I've used Firefox for the past .... you know, I have no idea how long it's been - forever, maybe?  That said, it wasn't until their latest release that I thought they did something really stupid.

As I recall, in the previous version the HOME button was on the left side much closer to everything else you're clicking on the web page.  Why did they have to move it to the extreme opposite side of the screen?

I tried it also a couple of weeks ago.

I found that they had changed it about too much, rather than doing steady changes over time, where you can concentrate on the modifications. It was like learning a new operating system all over again.

I just couldn't get my head around it and so went back to the old system.

I suppose eventually I will have to change over, but until then, I am quite happy with what I have.

afret much playing with most of th "other" browsers... i'm back with ie9... just cant be bothered with the "idiosincracies"

I've also used Firefox for a long time, and found version 4's layout confusing.

  :doh: :lol: :lol: Story of my life that Ralph :clap: :clap: I find it easy to use myself, I never really got on with Chrome or the over protective explorers.

Windows 8 out yet. or is everybody using it already?  :lol: :lol:

Im using IE 9 but have to use windows live which is a pita...that is why I woul like to use thunderbird.

I downloaded it yesterday and the one thing that hacks me off is that the google toolbar is incompatible with the new version, so no autofill for a start.

there's something called googlebar lite that does nothing so I'm inclined to follow Bogs and reinstall the earlier version.

Where did they put the "Stop Loading" and "Refresh" buttons? Been looking for them for a while but have yet to find them.

Think I will follow Bog's lead.

Hi Joe, its at the end of the url address box. The refresh icon is a clockwise arrow shape, the stop loading icon is a red cross type icon that only shows when the page is loading and is replaced by the refresh icon when the page has loaded fully.

Google Chrome does it for me. Quite happy on Ubuntu.

I installed it yesterday morning.

Can't tell any difference. Just a bit slower at boot up.

Just press F5 to "Refresh" or "Esc" key to stop loading. That should work on most browsers, I know that it works on IE and Firefox, and it is usually faster than moving the mouse to wherever the relevent buttons may reside on the screen.

Ah, everyone has a favorite browser.  I am partial to Google Chrome (Google's world headquarters is about 5 km from my house).  It is stable, under continuous development and runs most everywhere.  Chrome is available for mac users as of about 3 days ago.

I find it very awkward to press F5 or Esc with my mouse, is there an easier way?
But yes, FF4 seems to suffer from the "change for changes sake" syndrome
