Pardon me if my introductory message leaves a little to be desired, as yet I'm not accustomed to the format. I regret to say that I shan't have very much of value to contribute because I'm very much a beginner, however, rather selfishly I'm sure that I will learn a great deal. My special interest is horology but I'm very much a fledgling in that activity. I retired about six months ago and 'am contemplating a mill to add to my ancient Myford Super 7, the serial number makes it about fifty-five years old, it is in desperate need of Myford's bed re-grinding service. Currently I rather favour the Warco WM18 mill (Warco being a British Company). I live in the southern part of the UK, a county called Hampshire. My other interests are fine-art and model railroading. I suspect that as with most other members there are very many demands on my time from gardening, general house maintenance, grand-child minding etc. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Welcome Niloc, pull up a chair and beat your gums a while.
I am sure there are a few others on here who share all your interests, so you will never be short of followers in everything that you do.
I'm sure someone will hit you soon with the piccy thing.

Hi there Niloc  Welcome to the club :mmr:
I too have an interest in building a clock, there is something fascinating about all the wheels and pinions in a clock being on show. I dont have any great knowledge about the subject, but would be glad to read of your learnings.
I'm sure someone will hit you soon with the piccy thing.
Ummm, ok I'll bite :worthless: Show us what you are up to :D

Hi
Welcome to the collective :borg:
Clocks are neat. Always wanted to learn more about them. I know absolutely nothing about clocks though...
