it looks to be in very good condition
its got 1 problem with it the half nut lever is hard to move ibn to place
power crosslide works great its just the halfnut lever

Personally, for £800 an S7 with power feed is a gift.........
Can I give you an IOU til pay day?

Colin
If its not wrecked, grab it before their Prozac wears off :D
IIRC ( I have a S7, no x-feed) the half nuts are on dovetails like a slide, so it may be the adjuster screws are too tight, or there is gunge in 'em.
Wiil try to find a drawing if you like .. ie in the manual .. or ....I think I've seen it on the web somewhere .
No big problem probably ..
EDIT Owd on .....Scanning as we spoke ...
Part #20 is the gib-strip wotsit, and 29 are the two screws that hold 'em on.
Not sure whether the power x-feed are the same tho. ??
PS. I also seem to remember on my ML7T, you can make the operation very stiff, by over tightening the (nyloc ?) nut ... #26

That's OK Colin .. happy to help.
You'll probably find it's a good machine. Mine is 1976 (?), was a bit more than £800, but it had all the goodies, Ind Stand, coolant, TTA, Swiv. Vert. Slides, (2)
That gear cutting Att. No end of chucks etc. Plus a lot more stuff .. bar stock etc.
Have Fun ..
Keyboard thumping over for tonight. Glen Morangie time, then ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ..

Try slackening (is that a word?) nut 26 on Dave's scan very slighty. Works on my ML7.
