Postman called yesterday......
Looks like a pizza!

But it`s not..... It`s a low temp Stirling engine kit.

I sat down this morning, and studied the instructions......
All 50 pictures!

The packing is used as an assembly jig.
Insert column, and assemble to disc.....

Attach the power piston, and place on heat source......
Yee..... Haarrr!

Elapsed time, 45mins.......

Hey Dave, nice one, looks great!
Can I ask a few questions if you get time.
1. What is the material of the both power piston and displacement piston? It looks like the displacement piston is polystyrene and I guess at graphite for the power piston in a glass cylinder?
2. What is the gap between the displacer and the displacer cylinder?
3. What is the height of the displacement piston.
Sorry, I`m dying to get my home made one working and it is of similar design!!!

Chris,
Why didn`t you ask me last night? ::) .... Before I put it together!
1. Correct!
2. Dunno! .... I guess, around 1mm. per side.
3. Height? ..... Measuring through the glass, it`s 1/4" thick.
Is that near enough?
Good luck with yours!
