Can any one point me in the direction of these screws
No.8 ANF (American National Fine) semi - countersunk head, allen cap screw
O/D = 0.162"
Core = 0.130"
Pitch = 0.0277
Overall length 8mm, but a little longer would not go amiss as they could always be cut down to size.
Cheers

The figures here
http://homepages.tesco.net/~A10bsa/unfgo.htm
for no. 8 UNF are 36tpi/0.164" pitch, major 0.164", minor (for external threads) 0.1299", which is effectively the same. "UNF" might cause less headscratching than "ANF" here in the UK, but I've no idea where you might get them, particularly with such special heads.
Andy
PS 36 tpi = 0.705mm pitch. An M4 thread has a pitch of 0.700mm, which is probably near enough. For the major diameter, 4mm = 0.157", which is about 7 thou undersize for an existing No 8 ANF/UNF threaded hole. The minor diameter is similarly undersize. Might M4 be sufficiently close to give a reasonable fit?
