Like I said on the other site.
Only a dummy would get that close to a spinning cutter.
Seriously though, too many young blokes would laugh at that dummy, because it is a dummy. You need real life situations like has been said, it would sink in more and make them think, to see a real person getting hurt.

Whatever they need to show to drive this point home is what is needed.
I still see a comment now and then like: Luckily, I was wearing gloves, so it didn't hurt my hand except for a few bruises. What was lucky is, they didn't get their arm ripped off.
It can't be stressed enough!

Never wear gloves, or have loose rags near your machine tools. I have had my warning and I intend to heed it!
I had surgery on my hand recently (tumour removed from my right hand) and of course I could not wait to get back down into the shop even before the incision had healed so I put on a very light latex glove. Even though I was very careful in no time at all the finger tip got caught up and the finger ripped off the glove, had it been a substantial work glove I would have been back down at the hospital.

I actuallly saw this happen in a machine shop, in Chicago, in the late 60's and have spent the last 40 odd years warning machine operators not to wear gloves or long sleeve shirts. The guy was operating a large drill press and the bit cut completely through the arm above the elbow. so please pay attention to this warning.
